Project description:

 

Innovations Lab, the R&D department within Luxoft company, is establishing new Center of Excellence aimed at developing world class technical expertise in emerging Blockchain technology and related application techniques such as Smart Contracts. We need senior level engineers with diversified background in areas of applied mathematics, software development and great understanding of distributed systems. The team will start in St. Petersburg and will be closely working with subject matter experts from Luxoft UK.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Work with global companies providing Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies

• Participate in Industry Consortia and Open Source Projects

• Participate in development of the CoE and community, coordinate environment setup

• Work with subject matter experts, project stakeholders, management and colleagues

• Learn the target and adjacent technologies and applications areas

• Translate business and technical requirements into development plans

• Teach junior team members and participate in inter-project communication

• Develop technology Proofs Of Concepts for Luxoft Customers in Financial and IoT markets

 

Skills Required:

 

• Strong mathematics/computer science background or working knowledge of cryptography 

• 3 to 5 years' experience in technology solutions or consulting including open-source

• Experience in distributed / cloud based platforms development

• Full-stack SW development experience, from back-end to browser-based solutions

• Experience in development on Java or C++ and JavaScript. Desire to master new programming languages and technologies

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Spoken English on upper-intermediate level

• Ability to work with technical and business stakeholders

• Strong sense of personal responsibility and teamwork

• Nice to have the Go development experience (https://golang.org/)

• Nice to have understanding of Capital Markets

• Nice to have knowledge on Bitcoin / Etherium blockchain technology
